James comes to VIDA with over 12 years experience in the fitness industry concentrating on individual memberships and corporate wellness. As Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for the company, James is responsible for overseeing all sales, advertising and marketing activities as well as the sales personnel at all VIDA Fitness locations.  

From Washington, DC to Greenwich, CT to Manhattan James has used his personality to sell fitness as a lifestyle and to help people unlike other heavy-handed sales folks. His most famous client is President Barack Obama who succumbed to his charm and signed up with James at a previous fitness chain when he was Senator from Illinois.

 Having gone thru a midlife crisis upon turning 40 James accidentally stumbled upon the fitness industry with no intention of making it a career, but with his outgoing personality and love of daily contact with people he fell in love with a whole new life style. He soon became absorbed in all aspects of the fitness club not just the sales component. “I love what I do, I love to sit down with people and discover interesting things about them and interests and people we have in common – I love people.”
